Phoenix Art Museum’s Independent Women’s Luncheon

PHX Architecture had the opportunity to sponsor a table at the Phoenix Art Museum Independent Women’s Luncheon last month! The event had a great turnout and the Interior Designers did an excellent job transforming the museum; each table was beautifully decorated with unique centerpieces. Jaclyn and Nikal attended the event, along with their 8 wonderful guests, Sarah Suggs – CEO O’Connor House, Vicki Vaughn, Chrissy Donnelly, Kim Scodro, Rebecca Salcito, Riki Altman, Linda Barkman, and Susan Karis. They enjoyed a nice lunch and listened to the renowned Bunny Williams speak on “Making the home come to life”. The event raised over $200,000!

Breakfast with Madeleine

madeline

Nikal and Erik attended the sold out breakfast with former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright at the Phoenix Art Museum. She is a true American treasure and spoke candidly about the behind the scenes and relationships she experienced as she represented, protected, and negotiated on behalf of America globally. Her collection of pins shares a message beyond the obvious which includes the example of being the first woman Secretary of State and using a simple fashion accessory to send powerful political messages.

The museum is featuring the Madeleine Albright collection with a selection of her pins and antidotes this month.

Nikal says, “Anyone who can attract a ‘sold out’ room of 500 Phoenicians at 7:30am in the morning has a message worth hearing.”

And, in case you were wondering- the pin she wore to the breakfast was a painter’s palette in honor of the Arts.
